I love sunsets. One of my favorite things is to go out into our front yard in the evening and enjoy beautiful sweeping sunsets in the western sky with my daughter Julia. Last month, our family took a road trip to enjoy the natural grandeur and majesty of Arches National Park. We entered the park in the early evening and were treated to one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. As we watched the sun slowly sink into the western horizon as a family, I marveled at the wondrous beauty of God's creations. Consistent with the inspired message of the great hymn, "All Creatures of our God and King," I believe that the natural beauties of this world testify to us, if we will listen, that they were created by a loving God who is our Heavenly Father. I composed Setting Sun to try to capture the emotions that I feel each time I take the time to stop and enjoy the beauties of our natural world and to remember that the world's beauty is a testament to God's love for each of us. The cover image for this single was photographed by my son Brendan in Arches National Park as we watched the setting sun which inspired this song. "Setting Sun" features the violin talents of Katie Jensen and the ethereal voice talents of my daughter, Mackenzie Tolk. It is my hope that you will feel peace, healing, love, and gratitude as you listen to "Setting Sun."

All creatures of our God and King,
Lift up your voice and with us sing,
Thou burning sun with golden beam,
thou silver moon with softer gleam,
Alleluia! Oh praise him! Alleluia!
